Appreciate your comments Wayne. I was asking about the standard Bluebird/200B calipers - are they way too small? Why when going to 10" are you guys using Hilux and
Commodore calipers? Many thanks, Ian.

Great to hear you're as enthusiastic as the rest of us! Re: your brake situation Bob Cooper in NZ rallys a twelvie coupe and I believe it had the hilux caliper set up. Contact him at
rcooper@xtra.co.nz - he's happy to help. Is there a reason why you guys don't use the original brakes for the 10" discs? I have Bluebird 10" fronts that I want to put in my race
coupe - are the calipers any good? Cheers.

Gidday - I think the engine I was telling you to look at was in the 240SX in the US. I seem to remember it was around 2 litre 4 putting out 140HP. Does anyone in the States know the engine
model # for that late 80's-early 90's car and whether it's worth fitting up to a 1200? It was called the Sylvia in Japan and I think 180SX in Aus. Maybe the engine was the CA18DE? Anyone
know?

I wonder if anyone can help provide some info about the C20 van diff. I bought a van for the oval port A15 head for my A12 race motor and now I'm wondering if anyone knows what
ratio the diff is? It looks bigger and should be a lower ratio than the coupe 3.9. Anyone know anything about these diffs? Are they worth using for race applications? Thanks, Ian.

Hi Andy - I'm being a bit obvious but have you checked your gear oil level? It should be lapping the tread on the
fill bung. Ian.

Thanks Andrew - I didn't realise they were that low! I knew it was wider but I was thinking about using my diffent offset wheels on the front to square it up but maybe not eh.
I've got a dogleg 5 speed but I reckon my new engine will blow it to pieces:) The toyota box solves that problem and it's probably easier to find than a Sunny 5 speed. Would
you mind telling me what you had to do to convert the 3T bellhousing to your A14? Thanks, Ian.

Thanks for all the great information everyone. I have a question for CA18DET_man regarding his A14. Did you choose to build your race motor from the A14 for a reason? Could
you have had better results from an A15? The reason I ask is your engine builder obviously knew what he was doing - did he choose to do the A14 instead of an A15. Cheers.

A well set up coupe should feel quite precise to drive. Chances are your trip on the dirt road showed up worn shocks. Do the old shock test - push down on each corner of the car and see if
it bounces up and down more than once or twice. If it bounces like an excited puppy then they're stuffed. If you're short on money replace the backs first. Might pay to check your
alignment as well.
Now as to your engine plans. The cool thing about the A Series motors is that they go soooo much better than they should. Build up a strong A15 and you'll be grinning - I haven't put one
in but I believe they'll bolt in with minor mount modifications. Don't ever, ever put a rotory in your car unless you like engines that last for a weekend and make you poor!! Stick with a
Nissan like the CA18DET. Like to see your photos when they're up.
