Hey there.

MY wrecker guy says that there were two types of alternators on EA falcons.

Anyone got any ideas of which one I need?

And have been quoted $50 for one. That is reasonable isn't it?

The bonnets are all the same size as far as I know. I have a coupe and I got a bonnet of a sedan and it fits. The doors are a different size on a coupe. Shorter and longer...
Should be right to get a bonnet off of another one...

Going to go buy an alternator tomorrow (Monday)
And then maybe get started putting it in Monday or Tuesday...

Also going to be attempting a respray of my car while my flatmate is away in queensland for 4 weeks, so I can use the whole carport. Gonna go from red faded 31 year old datsun paint to orange. It will be Ford Tango orange (Seen on Escorts, lasers, cortinas from the 70's) but everyone who asks will be told that it is a custom colour called "Crustacean Orange"

I worked too long today....

Yeah I have 15X6 with 195/50 R15 on my coupe with the front stanza brakes the front wheels go on without any spacers or any ofd that jazz.
Back driver side still rubs on the inside wheneverI got up driveways sometimes...

Swapped the tops of the struts over with the 1200 ones so that they fit in the holes and also swapped over the the 1200 springs as well so it didn't look like I was doing wheel stands all the time...
