ARGHHHH!!! Hate that noise....

That happened to me. If you upgrade to a 120Y diff then you need to upgrade the tailshaft as well because it wont fit on otherwise.

Don't know about the strength because mine was replaced back in April and it is making a funny sound again although I don't think the mechanics put it in properly as it is leaking oil...

Diff centre and tailshaft were changed on mine...

An L20 isn't a direct bolt it.

So that wouldn't be too easy. But it is still possible.

I fI were you I would wait until the majorty of the work is done before painting it.

If you need to lips guards or modify other bits it woudl be annoying tohave to do it again. Or if you accidently scratch the paint gettign the old engine out.

Try out martins Datsun page for some basics:
To Start you Off

Umm oh yeah where are you? What country etc...

There was a 13B turbo 1200 coupe drag car in Australia ( a yellow one in Fast Fours or Hot 4's a year or two ago that had a shortened Nissan TRX diff in it. But I think that it was an auto so it wasn't as hard on the diff.
My friend was building a 2 litre L18 engine and putting it in his 1200 coupe and he used a modified VL commodore turbo rear diff. Which should be the same as skyline diff roughly... Cos you wont be having commodores over there...

The temperature of the air can make a huge difference in my old gemini if you kept the switch ont he air filter on "Winter" when it was summer or if you were driving alot it would feel like the engine was being strangled. The winter switch just got hot air from inside the engine bar from above the exhaust so that it would run better cold.
I remember have to change backa couple of gears in order to make it up a slight hill.

Wohoo! thats what I thought
About a 40-45 weber do you think?

I just realised today that the supercharger I have is too big. I need the 4AG one. instead of the 1GG one. doh....

Ummm Matt was it?
I think it is...
You got a 1200 too? Is it because you drove mine?
That would be cool if it were.
I don't know what the thing is with you and Nathan. He has helped me with just about every part of my car. But I don't think we should get into that here. We'll just drop it I think....
Whats the deal with your car?

TO my knowledge you can't get the solex locks for your ignition barrel.
From what I have seen though, pretty much most DAtsun igniton barrels all have the same plugs so you can get one off a newer Datsun so that the barrel isn't as worn down. I have had 1200, 120Y, 180B and 200B ones in mine. So that might be worth looking at.
Try just putting a switch or guage on the dash where you ignition used to be?
Although I am not 100% sure of 1000's...

AHA!
Someone else has the same idea as me.
This is what I am going to do!
I already have the supercharger (Because it was only $175) and I was wondering what else I will need to do to get it on my A15. What size carb should I use? I currently have a 32/36 on it.
