The photos make the sweep cars look like they are having a go too. I thought you couldnt be too much of a smart ass being a sweep? Oh, hang on, we did put a 4x4 down a bank one year before a rally

The rain gutters on my XB are responsible for hacking a nice slash in my little finger. Washing the ute one day and bam, blood gushing everywhere! Nicked my finger on the gutter and should have had stitches. But you know what us blokes are like, bandaid and a beer and she'll be right. Finger went numb for a day or two, ahwell its all good You guys say that you would get wet on a rainy day? Do you have the window down while its raining? Even in my '01 AU Falc you get water inside when you put the window down after/during rain.

I have heard that the stock engine mounts are ok, but dont use polyurethane style ones. One bloke for Pedders head office told me he used to rally a 1200 and used mounts of a Range Rover. Anyone know what these look like. I think he said they were much bigger and were shaped like dohnuts

Cheers for the pics Andrew. Whats the go with the 4x4's? I love to hear the V8's in the "aussie car" class, because the old VB Commo aint much to look at! hehe. Plenty of sideways tho, I always wanted to take my old XB ute in that class, or my mates LC Torana. We love dirt roads!

Guys, Have a search on here under something like CAMS/regulations/rally or something similar. 1200 Rally Car and myself had a bit of a thread going ages ago, we were sussing out our options. For more detailed regualtions I strongly suggest picking up a copy of the CAMS Rules and Regualtions book. It tells you everything, just remember to interprate the rules as you see them If you still have questions, yell out. Simon

I knew you would have a comment like that dodgeman. I love a good Datto like the rest of us, but love my V8 Ford. Mind you, I have very broad tastes, I would love to own a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, complete with 7.2 litre donk. Mmmm, bring the smoke. Ahh well, have to get by with a 5ltr Ford with 200kW's.

What does $115 NZ equate to in AU? Around $103AUD? I take it the boss kit is coming from Australia? Should be about $80 new in Australia in Aussie dollars plus freight?

dims/tens and twenties, are those flares off something else or specific to that model. I have a mate with a 200B SSS and he has home made (bent metal and bog) flares but Im sure he would love some bolt on's, even if he bogged over the bolt holes.
Cheers,
Simon

I love the fact that I have a number of cars to drive at the moment. My new ute, the old ute and my g/friends (dont shoot me!) Corolla. Must take the old ute for a spin, its just been sitting. The new ute is great but too easy to drive, even sideways with an LSD is easy. Jump in the FWD Corolla or old non-power steer ute and I nearly mount gutters because I forget to turn. That photo looks awesome! lurve the flares!
