Cheers fellas, something I threw together over a 9 year period! The car lives in SA now and now I'm playing on Datsuns.

Made a little progress.

Stripped back the old paint and etch primed. priming as I go to avoid oxidation of the panels.

thanks for answering that.

yeah it's prob too noisey for my place to use. I did do garnet blasting but that was on a property and noise was not an issue.

im getting thru it with the paint stripper and it's good how it doesnt generate dust or noise. the stripper leaves a residue which appears to resist surface rust better than I had anticipated. once I do the body I will de-oxidine anyway.

Cheers

Ed

looks great!, I'm using paint stripper at the moment and I've got to say it's not fun anymore..

do you need that special pressure blaster or will a normal pressurise grit blaster work? Ive got one of those normal blasters.. it should work?

is it noisy doing the blasting?

Cheers

I've never used enamel so cant comment but my experience with 2K has been good.. it's really chip resistant.. somebody tried to key my car but the key didn't even cut thru the paint. this was a 2K solid colour.
