Hey Thanks Shoota,

A very similar colour to Fergus!

Ive got 15 inch TRX wheels and those Stanza struts. will get started on them now. Thought it would be easier to pass roadworthy as a stocker... even then they picked on sagging door hinges.

Anybody know where I can get a kit to re-bush the hinge pin?

Cheers

Hey all,

Project got registered yesterday, temporarily running drum brake front and 13 inch wheels.

it's pretty much standard, stock as a rock.

but so happy it's done.

the kid loves it...

Any catch can is legal... the issue is how the catch can is vented.

if ADR requires venting back to the air filter to recycle vapour, then your catch can must be plumbed like this.

If your engine originally had a PCV valve, then you must retain that PCV valve as well.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Good advice Reuby Tues...

From my experience in NSW, when you have an engineered car you must carry the papers with your car at all times. The rego label references the report and all the specifications on the car must match the report..... simple.

I wouldn't expect an engineering signatory to knowingly sign off on mods that were outside the scope of allowable mods.. it's just too risky.

Having said that, it does happen... and alot of those cars appear to be show or trailer cars.

If you're caught doing silly things, then expect the cops to turn up the heat on you, but if you are just cruising along then why would the cops want to defect you?

I never got asked once for my engineering papers... On the outside the car didn't appear to be highly modified.. I like to build sleepers.

Cheers

I used as a second choice "bumper spray" by 3M and it works well on the hard plastic.

would prefer vinyl spray though as it is more verstile.

im sure the ss sleeved bore is less susceptible to wear because SS is harder.

here are the part numbers off the box I have.

GIRLOCK

MK484X
or written in hand so possibly a superseding part number is K760bX

it may not be ht best option, but it is an option.

No sleeve, according to the guys, the bore was in OK nick.
we shall see how long it lasts, the old fluid was very dirty so I imagine the fluid acted like a lapping paste... Im hoping it hasnt made the bore out of round as you suggest.

ahh... does it sound like I have the correct strip at least?

My only experience with this type of seal was years ago on my Gemini, and it went on last to lock down and spread the seal... I was thinking this was similar.

I can work around this but just need to know if this is the correct strip.

Cheers
