compression, cams, injectors, oil squiters at the base of the pistons, but other than that I dont think there is much more. The rods could be a little stronger in the DET but I am unsure of that.

Anyone else wanna add to the list...

That export brand degreaser from supercheap is good, usually on special for like 3 bucks a can. One other thing I found good for cleaning ally components was mag wheel cleaner, just dont leave it on too long, follow the directions and ya cant bugger it up.

Also try soaking in a large bucket/bin of degreaser then take the parts to the local car wash and use the high pressure gun there to blast off the crud

If its a Kev Rowley cross member then its designed to be used with the origional Silvia/180SX engine mounts

I am going the CA cause its legal and powerful. I was going a NA SR20 but after speaking to a few engine builders it turns out it would cost way too much to get power and you would have to wring its neck to make that power so it would be a tad unreliable. If it was legal I would jam in a 13B turbo, awesome power and good weight.

If you really wanna go fast and have fun then fuel economy can get facked :)

Thanks PIGDOG, you always come through with the goods. I might look into them or even making the blue nolathane ones, they look great and very simple. Cheers for all you replies, I love this site

Gday all, I've been away for a while so how are ya all going, well I hope. I am finally back into the project and am looking for something to replace the stock ca18 engine mounts. I am asking this cause I am having trouble finding a set of engine mounts that are "cheap" and in good condition so I was looking at just swapping to something more readily available off the shelf at repco stuff.
I am using a Kev Rowley fitting kit and he designed his engine crossmember to use the factory CA engine mounts. I was thinkin of redrilling his crossmember to fit another type of mount but whats a close fitting mount??

Cheers
Anthony (bundy351)

Did you try Top Gear out at Hermit Park. That where I got most of my steering parts from.
