What suburb you in mate and would I be able to send a friend over to have a look for me as I live in Darwin.

Is there enough bits and pieces to put together a complete engine?

Thanks for the quick reply, yes the flex plate is the thin plate between the box and the engine.

I am a little undecided at the moment as I was hoping for a complete engine but if I can find the missing pieces for a good price I might be interested. I will do some hunting around and get back to you.

Are you keeping the Cam Angle Sensor too, its missing on the right front of the engine?

Hay mate, I am kinda keen but I need to know what the engine comes with.

As it was an auto does it still have the flex plate? ( I am chassing an auto-set up is all)

What do you class as a complete motor ie starter, alt, intake, turbo, exhaust etc?

Can you please email me some pics, I will PM you my details.

Thanks for your time

Just wandering if anyone might be interested in my gearbox. Its a CA18DET box with a SR20 bellhousing attached to it.

So it will only bolt up to a SR20 unless you attach a CA18 bellhousing.

I can remove the bellhousing if you just want the box.

I fitted a new input and outout seal.

I might be getting rid of it as I am changing my plans AGAIN and am going to fit a CA18DET and Auto.

The gearbox is located in Darwin, pictures and freight can be organised.

Please no silly offers.

Hay all, I have been out of the game for a while and since comming back I have changed my plans. I am now thinking of fitting a CA18DET and AUTO to my 1200 ute. I will be using the 4 speed auto that comes out of a half cut and was wandering if anyone has fitted the auto to a ute, how did you go with the tranny tunnel?

Remove the front brake pipe from the master cylinder. Look up in the port, there should be a little black (from memory) valve, remove that and put the front brake pipe back in, bleed the system and away you go.

Its just a little restrictor they put in there to keep slight pressure on the front brake shoes when you apply them. Spring pressure from the drum brakes forces fluid back into the master cylinder. As disc brakes dont have these large springs, only rubber seals it cannot over come the valve hence why your new disc brakes eventually lock on.

Disc brakes are awesome in these little beasts. Good luck with it all, and let us know if you need anymore help.

I got a pair or stock 1200 ute seats. They are brown in colour and have tears in the stitching in the seat bases and back rests. The padding is also almost gone.
They came out of a 1979 ute so they are old and worn.
The seats are located in Ipswich and would be pick only unless you do all the organising for freight.
If you want pics let me know.
