Whats the go with the engineer not passing the tank behind the axle, seems odd is all. I might be keen on your tank as mine is rusted out but I am guessing shipping is prolly not going to be worth it to get it to sunny QLD.
Yeh bailz there is bugger all room on that side

jmac the tail shaft is to suit the h165 diff but the uni ends are very worn. I'll take some pics of the ends and you can decide if you really want it.
davem69 I am not willing yet to part it all out, might sell the extractors but I am not keen on stripping the other bits off the engine.

Cool, I'll take a few pics of my brackets installed but my tank is out at the moment cause its full of rust so i cant show you any pics of the gap for the exhaust. From memory it was very tight for my 2.5in exhaust but i am upgrading to 3in so once its built I will let you know how it goes.

Hat D, I wont be bothering with paint and stuff yet, Its kinda at the bottom of the list, its been off the road too long, I wanna put it back together and get it running so I can dive it and enjoy the little beast, then down the track I will give it a lick of paint. As for lightening the bow, maybe a few hundred grams but it was unintentional, just did it to remove some of the bulky castings because they were snagging on the tunnel.

D my good man, that exactly the plan, just bending up a little bit of steel at the moment to trial fit and if I am happy with it then all systems go. Also to strengthen up these manifolds some people weld little gussets between the top of each header tube and the flange. I might just stick with the support arm for now as TIG is not really my thing yet but give me time and anything is possible.

Cheers for the heads up man. I'll make a phone call and see what's required but I don't think it's that bad but there is some paperwork to be done that's for sure.
