yer well the tappet clearences i set to my cam specs which predicate 15thou. I have also made sure the rocker studs are all tight. I am wondering if it is a timing issue or a valve is damaged, im just not sure.

hey guys

my a15 is making a strange knocking noise that seems to be coming from the valve train. i cant worked out what it is, i have reset the tappets and everything is tight so i am stumped. it only starts to happen when the engine is warmed up.

any suggestions would be appreciated

sweet nice job mate. I have almost an identical a15 setup to yours and they are a lot of fun once they are all sorted! Do you know how much compression you are running? It sounds like you will be getting around the 140hp pretty easy with your setup.

haha the roger cordia legend this is probably the funniest thing on all the car forums atm. Our serial pest gixxer just doesnt live up to the roger cordia standard.

yer mate that reading sounds a bit suspect to me. My a15 made 81 kw at the wheels which was made around 7000 rpm. so may be you need to rev it a bit more or the reading may just be inaccurate.
