Not sure. I would like to fiddle around with a jet type system maybe from a jetski. Also what do u mean by mixer? Is that a section of pipe that is water cooled and would bolt to the exhaust manifold flange? Excuse the questions but im still learning boats :p

Well I was thinking a 10ft wooden or fiberglass vee bottom, a12 supercharged and turbocharged just like I think the ma09ert Nissan motor. I was hoping the supercharger will get my low down boost and the turbo kicks in later. To what rpms I haven't looked that far. I have looked at 60hp outboards and the torque seemed to be almost the same. Everytime I look at modding something the strong little a series seems to always be a good reliable option. I cant see this being any different. I was thinking of using a water to water heat exchanger and adapting a v8 water cooled exhaust manifold with a simple adapter on the head. Do u think this would be sufficient to keep the temp down in the engine compartment?

Sorry if I should have posted this in of topic but im looking at making a 10-12ft v hull boat. Acording to the wiki an a12 can rev at 5500 rpm all day and I think with an oil cooler and sufficient coolingi can bring that up to atleast 6000 rpm. A stock a12 is rated at 69hp@6000 rpm and has about 95nm of torque. Looking at 60hp outboards they seem to have around the same hp and torque rating as a a12. Now all I have been researching tells me that the a12 can be used as a marine engine. Am I missing something? I know this is a car forum but im hoping there might be someone who can shed some light. My plans are to supercharge and turbo charge a stock a12 with with a oval port head

Unfamiliar if he is hes the guy who ripped me of! Boostdute sold me somthing which was not what he said it was, then said he will sort me out and has never sorted me out. Keeps telling me 2 weeks and flogging me of. I must look like the type of guy who gets ripped of and does nothing about it......lol. just waiting to go down south next! Might only be $250 worth but in the end cost me about $450 to find out it wasnt even for my car like he kept telling me. Any problems come see him he says.... i also noticed where he worked too.... sorry for the rant peoples but when a "new" member comes from the same area selling the same parts with the same attitude it gets pretty suss

So what are the advantages of longer runners? Also from what I have read both r33 and r34 gtr turbos have ceramic exhaust wheels that can be changed to steel? And i have noticed the r33 gtr turbo has a smaller exhaust and compressor and the r34 has a larger exhaust and compressor which makes it more laggy but can reach more hp. Is it for the reasons that the exhaust side is bigger to maintain lower temperatures and obviously the compressor side is bigger to flow more air? Is the r34 turbo bb and r33 not? Sorry for all the questions

One thing I have noticed over the years is the datsun community has turned stuck up. My first username on this site was back in like 2004 so I have been here for about 10 years and datsun people are turning into rotor heads ie: assholes. I noticed the more rotary powerd cars went up in price the more people turned into big head know it all non helpers and on the rotary web sites now if u ask something a bit silly ect people just give u flack for it. As datsuns go up in price our community is turning much the same. People are getting scabby with information, causing crap like flanders , ripping people of, pi$$ing people of so what they can make some extra $. It wouldn't surprise me if its someone very close that we all know in this website. The datsun 1200 community was much closer than it is today. Too bad huh :(

Hi all. Just looking into suspension mods to my 1000 coupe. I know alot of people cringe at the sight of 1000's stock suspension but looking at it in my opinion (a very inexperienced one :p) it looks very workable. Please if my thinking is wrong can someone correct me but if the 1000 front leaf spring was taken out and replaced with small coil springs and shockers would that not improve handling? Also I was looking at a de dion type rear suspension on some volvo at the local wreckers and was wondering if that could be fitted and imporve handling, even up weight distribution not to mention being able to fit a stronger lsd diff? I know anything can be done but it doesn't look that complicated. Am I wrong? :/ was also wondering who else has done mods and were happy with what results?
