Just another thing. Say if my Max rpm was around 6500rpm. Do the stick m30 valve springs do around that. I think they are rated around 6000rpm but from memory, I think I might have been able to take my old stock a12 to around 6400rpm. Is this correct or should I look at double valve springs?

The head I have atm is the m30 a12 head. Would it be worth any effort to go a h75 or h89 if one pops up? Do u think supercharging would be a better street option then turbocharging? Also, a long time ago there was a very simple 1 injector setup for the a series, any idea where that info is? I recall there being a simple a12 injection setup maybe using daewoo or Hyundai parts. Was a long time ago

I guess that's what I have to weigh up. What's going to be faster, a bored out worked a12 or a boosted a10? I'm guessing to get over 100hp from a worked a12 will require an a12 bored, stroked, ported head, high comp pistons and worked cam along with a pair of webers or efi. I'm thinking an a10 with almost stock oval port head (just valve springs done), head studs, super/turbocharger and efi might be a more easier cost effective option? If they can get 100kw from an a12 carby turbo, would it be reasonable to think with a little more work (or boost) that I can get the same from an a10? Would like to know people's thoughts who have much more experience then I do with the a series

I suppose I didn't write that correctly. Using 5 mains will make it more reliable to rev thus gaining a bit more power?
What I'm trying to do is gain the most power for street either using a naturally aspirated a12 or I can go a forced induction a10 legally. Im not allowed an a14 or a15. I was thinking a mix of standard a10 bottom end with head studs, stock h75 or h89 head (depending what I can get hold of) with decent rated double valve springs and as much boost as I can reliably go. Was going to look at efi aswel and aftermarket computer. I know the 12s do very well, I'm just worried about the a10 bottom end if doing up to 8000rpm. Being that it's street and not revving for a long time, do u think the a10 bottom end with good bearings be ok doing that kind of boosted rpm on street?

Hey all, just wondering what the compression ratio would be of an a12 with a10 flat top pistons and a stock h75 head? Trying to get around the 9.5-10:1 compression ratio. Would there be any valve clearance issues? Thanks

I have fitted an e15et in a 1000 but im trying to make this a legal street car so I was thinking of trying to keep the a series bottom end and using the e series top end including injection. I can either go a boosted a10 or n/a a12. From what I read is u have to tap a hole for the timing belt tensioner, plumb up the front block water pump gallery and run an external water pump. I managed to pick up a complete e15et head with injection for $20 ($15usd lol). I just dont have a block here to try it all out on atm

Hey all. I know E series heads have been fitted to A series blocks before (mainly looking to fit to an a10/a12. Does anyone have more info and pics on exactly how this is done. Really wanting to know how they setup the timing belt, timing pulleys, water pump etc.

So really to get the good power I really need to get 5 main bearings and a heap of boost lol
