I am confused as to what you are talking about, but maybe this will help explain something.
Early 1200 utes were still B110

Late 1200 utes are B120
1000 ute is a B20
1000 wagon is a VB10

1000 sedan is a B10.

All came with plates like pictured below.
1000's were before any compliance, so therefore never had any Australian compliance plate.

My plate has the engine number and chassis number stamped in. All 1000 wagons I have seen, have all had the V scratched in. I am guessing the plates were simply made with B10 printed and the rest was added manualy.
Since early 1200 utes were labeled as B110 still, I am guessing that 1000 utes were also left as B10 on the plates even though they became known as a B20.

What is it that you must invent new fitment?

And that my friend's said it all
Just the info I was chassing

FITTMENT (kinder word)
than open heart surgry using scud missle to cut wee hole's bigger
yep yep
crap part replaced with ready find and serviceable part's avalible any where you know like over produced G M H 's (holden's ) ford's toyota's

Yes, as you point out, all car makes and models can have differential problems. From my experience, Datsun diffs are just as reliable as any other make

B20s don't exist? Do you say that just because the government stamped yours as a B10?

With a 3.95 ratio, it sounds like someone fitted a non-Datsun-1000 axle housing to your ute.

My b 10 ute same as mister phunk post pic has pretty wee ingraving on the plate stating bla bla bla
mine state's b10 and has no ingraving and no after market pretend compli plate's and was never smacked with a mungrel jack hammer (left any drill hole's )
bulet wound's in the fire wall
not even visible after total sand blast

I am asking my question's every where and get same response.......
mr phunk's avatr is same as mynute

my dash is a lot smaller than (b20<1200>)

The diff from the 1200 is and has longer axle's (longer hand brake cable's)....
MY hand brake lay out under the floor is shorter
Sh@@@@T don't know it's got me totaly screwed
hand brake now lay's between front seat's
(to help with retro fit of ford diff)

datsun did fine job put in it together
the fun start's no part's
keepin her together
must invent a new fitment (cause I spoke to the profesional's here in perth )
they scratch their head's
(totaly clueless)
any way cool sight have fun not
