You probably have seen me around, although I haven't been driving my 1200 a lot lately. Since I drive down to Corvallis for school everyday, I commute in a 1980 510 wagon (known as the Burrito Wagon).

Datsuns NW invites all Datsun/Nissan owners to participate in "Datsun Driving CANBY Fun! 2006"
Like last year, the meet will be in Canby, Oregon at the Clackamas Co. Fairgrounds.

This is a 2-Day event featuring a car show, swap meet, self-guided cruise, catered dinner (sat. night) and social time! Get those vehicles ready, and check out DatsunsNW.org for more details!




Pre-registration ends May 10th (510 day) so be sure to fill out a form and send it in soon.
All models of Datsuns and Nissans are welcome! (especially 1200's!)

Hey guys,

As it turns out, this set up will fit a datsun 1200 motor, just not the one that comes to mind. The bolt pattern matches that of the pre-1965 engines, like the ones found in a 320 pickup. I beleive the engine code is an E-1. these were 1200 cc, and the cars and trucks that they came in had a badge on the side that read datsun 1200.

This manifold is not intended for this setup though. It is british, and I think it is the A-series engines from MG's or minis that nomally use this.

You may have noticed that there are two isolators stacked up behind each carb. That is because the seller needed to clear the steering tube that comes right through the area.

This is not my setup, but I have seen something like it before. I can't imagine that there is any room for an aircleaner.

For those of you that are unaware, Datsuns Northwest is planning this summer's event in Canby, Oregon. Scheduled for June 10 and 11, there will be a swap meet, car show, catered dinner/social night, and more!

Last year, over 200 cars attended, and this year we are planning to have even more! All Datsuns/Nissans are welcome.

Hey,

Just curious to see what people think of the mousepad I had made.

The only requirements for the cruise is that:
1. you show up on time ready to drive at a safe pace and
2. you are interested in meeting some local datsun guys!

You do NOT have to be a member to participate, but you are more than welcome to join the club if you have a good time. You can even show up WITHOUT a datsun, as long as you are actually a datsun/nissan fan.

As a side note, feel free to bring friends or family along. There will be a waterfall stop for a picture opportunity.
