I think that I will be bringing both of my 1200's. The coupe only needs a few more things before it in a condition to sell.

Is anyone looking for parts in particular that I could bring with me to sell/trade?

One weekend left!

The days are counting away! 3 weekends to go.

imo both events are great.

Blue lake was nice because there are a lot of unique cars that show up, the 1200 crowd is in full force, and it is nearby for all of us in the NW. Very relaxed feel. I hope that the Canby location will be a good one.

Shasta brings more people from SoCal with cars that have money poured on them, so they have the newest greatest engine swaps and parts, plus the cars are beautiful. The driving events are quite fun at shasta.

It is a must to attend both if you enjoy all datsuns, not just 1200s.

The group has some new people helping out that are excited about doing it, so it should make for a good event. I am not sure if i will bring my sedan this year yet. I have a coupe that i am trying to sell...i'll probably at least bring that.

also, i will be picking up a 320 pickup in the next couple of weeks, so i have plenty of projects to get working on this summer.

anyone else coming?

Hello everyone,

The word is out about this years meeting. It has been moved to a new location (1/2 hour south). The date has been set for June 11th and 12th.

For more info, check out http://geowrite.net/index.html

Last year, there was 9 1200s!
Just over 2 months to go!

See ya,

Hey guys,

as for "drifting", it sounds like you need to go into the "settings" menu while you are about to start a race. It looks like a toolbox. In it, you'll find the "driving aids" option. Adjust the oversteer, understeer, and traction control aids to zero, and you will have a tire spinning, butt-wagging beast!

My first purchase was a 350z.

I think that el captain is a fun track.

The coolest car i have driven yet was the nissan r92 during the license test. it is a ridiculous car!

see ya

Is anyone else planning on attending the shasta meet this year? I'll probably bring some 1200 stuff to sell. I am making t shirts that have some datsuns in a row, including a 1200. These should be there as well.

post what car you'll be bringing!

see ya.

P.S. event is July 15-18

Jamie,

I don't believe that Les is the one who is ignoring the other models. It's the market. For every 1 guy playing with 710's or b210s, there are hundreds of 510ers, and thousands of z car guys. These are the people choosing which datsuns are classic. His business is in restoring cars. He works on and gets parts for the cars that people are actually doing something with. It is a business after all.

Give the guy a break. Have you ever called him to see if he can help you? He has more cool old datsun stuff then probably everyone on this list combined. He has some early 60's 3 series trucks, a silvia built of the roadster chassis, and tons more stuff.

Have fun with your cars and good luck with the bumper search!

Bryon
