sssute would you be able to put some pics of yours up?
ang94541 would you recomend raising the pivot point 1.250"/31.75mm or maybe abit less?
Also when you say "I backed off on detent balls and all was good", what do you mean by that?

He added 1.25"/31.75mm to his one and the shift went from 6-7" to about 3".
Is it the more you add to the shifter the less you have to move it?

Im looking for an A series gearbox shifter because im going to try and make a short shifter. If anyone has one in southern Sydney or a VERY cheap one in other states im interested. I will also cosider an entire gearbox if i have to (a blown gearbox would be perfect!).

Well if i can find a spare shifter ill see what i can do. How do u reckon i would be able to work out how much i would need to add to it to make it roughly 50% shorter?

How could i make a short shifter without cutting the actual stick? Would i just have to raise the point that pivots and add a peice to the bottom part? So if i raise the pivot part 3cm, i would have to add 3cm to the bit that goes into the gearbox. If that makes any sense haha.
i want to make one like this one

im after a "drift" looking seat, if i cared about the whole retro look i would have kept the whole car stock. i want a seat that looks similar to a sparco (a nice looking small seat, not a huge thing)
