if i do go ahead with the swap ill just be using the L18 from the parts car ill be buying. im not going to try and find a L20. with the diff, do you think it will hold up with L18 and the occasional clutch kick? it is my daily so it doesnt get driven too hard. what diff do you recomend? i dont really want to spend much on it
Im considering doing a L series convertion in my 120y, but before i start buying all the bits for it i just want to ask a few questions. From what i have found by doing a search i need. Engine / Crossmember = L18/180B Gearbox / Crossmember = L series gearbox / 180B crossmember Brakes ect = complete 180B front end i.e. struts, LCA, tie rods, sway bay ect... here are the things in not sure about. Clutch Peddle = can i use the original 120y clutch peddle or will i need a 180B peddle box? Tail Shaft???? = not sure which one ill need. Diff = i plan on running the stock 120y diff because im not planing on driving it too hard
If there is anything i have missed or that i will need to know please tell me.
Plus i am going to be buying a 180B for all the bits and peices
