Hi again folks the utes finished and has to go to pay for airfares for holiday.....Pity as its lookin good and is heaps of fun to drive to work. im sellin it as it is with no rego,but it has a current vic permit for 28 days..anyhow heres some specs

1976 1200 ute
new front guards and tailgate....(taiwanese panels)
new chrome tailights
fresh pearl green acrylic paint job
black interior and neat original factory vinyl floor
seats are torn but the covers would pass rwc

Motor is an A12 originally built for a dune buggy with a decent mild camshaft and a fresh high comp roundport head fitted to standard carb and exhaust....new plugs, leads,points,oil,filter etc runs great high in the rev range and still has good low down torque..has leaky exhaust flange but not too loud though..

tyres look fine and should be fine for rwc
brakes are pretty good though could do with adjusting as they feel better after a second pump on the pedal...

has the bigger h165 diff in it and will soon have some trx 15 inch mags to put on it if i get offered enough...
have a spare 1200 sedan for parts that i can throw in for the right price,but id like to keep it to do up later on if the ute sells by itself

heres the spare sedan..has a great interior,but some rust in the firewall corners....probably too good to cut up would do up well with new front guards and a door

also has spare 1200 sedan for parts or restoring,will sell both for $2500 ono.

a12 motor with fresh high comp top end and mild cam,new thermostat and housing.runs well

interior really neat with original blue/black vinyl floor...seats are tatty and dash top has 2 cracks

new front guards and tailgate(taiwanese type...crappy fit but look better than old ones)
new chrome tail lights.

painted in green metallic with a little pearl.and gmh black in tub and inside cab/engine bay.
body sure aint perfect but it still looks pretty good.

has h165 big diff and will be fitted with trx 15 inch mags

and can transport to melbourne on truck..

update

should have both brand new front guards and tailgate and lights next week..will paint them and assemble the rest next wwekend.....so anyone can come and check it out in the meantime as is now driveable...

strange i havent had any interest in it yet???

still for sale will throw in new head gasket.

it really needed the bodywork to be done,but then i saw more things needing attention and from there i went out of control . ah well at least i should be able to sell it easier than before

would you have any idea what it would be roughly worth when finished?

im actually in warrnambool,which is a bit of a drive from melbourne.....but its a great opportunity to cruise the ocean road on the way!!!

not sure about the red seats with the green paint,but ill have a look and see otherwise ill get some covers for the originals in black to match the other doortrims i have.



now i have the engine bay sprayed and the head has been fully reconditioned and put back on with new graphite gasket set.....started and ran smooth straight away yay!!
