Rev pull your head in champ. Recently I never commented it is wrong to post non datsun related pics.I myself have done it in the past. I commented about the hypocrites that complain about it but still do it themselves. Just like the sheep that has commented after you to stir #### up.

Also Rev there is nothing wrong with linking pics like you have done.

My opinion is its too much for the current state of the ute, even though you would of spent more than that to date.
I would put it on Ebay and let it go.
Just dont let Luke write the ad.
I think his honesty let his ute down in the auction.
That doesnt mean be dishonest, it just means there is no need to tell all about the ute.
Let the bidders ask questions.
Im sure Luke's honestly made his ute look worse than it was.

At christmas time last year I had to recall my knowledge learned from watching and episode of bush mechanics a few years ago.
A flat rear tyre on my XR200 trail bike was not gonna stop us getting back.
A tyre stuffed with coconut tree leaves works just as well as the bush mechanics long grass trick.
Rode for over 1 hour carrying 2 of us across Calicoan Island to Guiuan in The Philippines till we reached a vulcanizer to fix it up.

I have always shortened the original wet inserts on the front struts I have used.
I believe there are previous posts on this forum of what shorter inserts can be used in different struts

In Australia we do this too. Never had a problem.
Common sense tells the spring must always be held captive. Shorter inserts well provide this.

Promo is still registerable, an will be driven around.

You cant have trade plates on cars anymore that arent roadworthy.

Once again key word "Promo"
Yes registerable. But Special Purpose Modified Production.
Do you have a business that needs advertising?
Do you have a reason to require such a motor?
Put it to the Registration Authorities and let them assess your special needs.

It might be worth your while taking time to read
Guidelines VSI09 Paragraph 3 under Wheels.
Here it is below. Read it carefully for what it actually tells you.

"Where non original axle or suspension components are fitted, the offset of the wheel in relation to the axle or stub
axle assembly used shall not be increased by more than 12.5mm each side of the vehicle based on the specifications
of the axle components used. If an axle assembly is shortened then the track width limit is taken as the axle
manufacturers original track dimension, less the amount the assembly has been narrowed, plus 25mm."

If you are crying about the cost of petrol to run a 1200, get a pushbike.
