In NSW you can easily get up to a 1800 turbo engineered and registered!
But since you are in QLD you are best to go to the RTA and get a list of Engineering Signitories and one of these will set you straight on whether it's possible for rego!
Then if it is find out insurance and tell them it will be signified!
