My ute had twin carbs on it before i got it, but i'm putting a single back on to get it going. My question is, its missing the pipe out of the passenger side of the block at the back that connects to the inlet manifold. Has anybody had to replace this, and what did they use?? tried to get one out of another engine but its solid!! anybody know its proper name (other than that pipe thingy??). I think its for backpressure etc?? thanks

i've got 6 sets of mags, all rwd, all low offsets, all fit my other datsuns, and none of them clear the calipers. Need 15mm from inside mag face to mounting surface.

Just fitted 120y discs to front of ute, found once fitted though the only mags that will fit are the standard 12" ones because the calipers stick out so far. Need an extra 3-4mm, just wondering how safe it is to trim off this much from the edge of the caliper (there's a heap of meat there). Could use spacers, but cant get a warrant of fitness in nz with these (your roadworthy cert).

just got hold of some 14x7 hotwire mags, just wondering if anybody has used 7inch wide wheels without flaring/rolling guards and still being able to turn the wheels-would probably be using 185/55/14 or 60/14

Have swapped over disc brakes from B310 to my 1200 ute, brakes locked on after a couple of days due to arm connecting to brake pedal being to long (using 1200 master cylinder 11/16th). Swapped over arm, brakes better. Now, theres a rubbing sound coming from front wheels on every revolution, took caliper off and found that anti-rattle shim was hitting. Adjusted that, put it together, drove off fine for 2 minutes. Noise still there and getting louder. Disappears when slight brake is used. Any idea's?? really starting to annoy me...
