Sounds like 1st and reverse are both engaged at the same time. Had the same drama with a toploader but was a lot easier to sort as the linkges are on the outside.

Welded 1200 sedan h145. Havnt used it but was told it was good. $50 in brisbane drum to drum.

Got a 1200 sedan roller for sale, Pretty straight and mostly complete interior, although pulled apart a bit. Has some rust as expected but not rusty as such. Tunnel has started to be cut for conversion. White with black vinyl roof and black interior. It is a project type car and will need work. $500 firm. Best to call 0415345978 4 info

I have four or five normal 56a boxes and have had 60a 4 and five speeds and this is different to a normal 56a. The case is smooth and has no ribs like a normal 56a.

Maybe i have a real odd ball gearbox then? I have a smooth case 56a. It is marked 56a. Is is definately a 56a.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about smooth case 56a 4 speeds and what they came in and are they any better than a ribbed case?
