I think youll find that you ca use a ca20 version out of pintara. theres heaps of them floating around the wreckers

there is two 5 speeds advertised in the trading post up here in qld . one is going 4 1500 and the other 4 1800. bonus with each is worked a series. i got hold of a 60 series for my ute a while back including clutch, pressure plate , plus a14 for 800 bucks .. e bay dude is definately dreaming

front struts - standard
ute cab (1200) bare -no tray no quarters - has been sand blasted and made lots of holes ... would suit repairing front ended ute . has vin and chassis no.

you could try removing the leaf second from the top whilst leaving the helper spring so you can still carry a load . you shouldnt get a harsh ride from this mod and you can do it yourself with a bit of mechanical knowledge. hope this can help.

pretty much covered the subject, the best way to tell if the car is to far gone for a begginer is to inspect the chassis bracing under the tray , paticularly where it joins the cab , then feel up under the front guard as far as you can towards the bottom corner of the windscreen . then inspect the seam in the front wheel arch where the inner guard attaches to the fire wall. if you find rust in any (or all) of these places you will be up for expense (or effort ) that could ruin the project. most other rust isnt to bad and can be fixed with out major dramas. depends on how much you pay 4 the car. as always if you pay a bit more u get less dramas. good luck with the hunt

that crossmember is for late model a-series same as in sunny. makes for easy a15 conversion into early models
