coops- i dont trust myself to do the rebuild. im getting a local performance shop to do it. its going to cost somewhere between 4500-5500. i dont mind paying that much when i know it can handle a bit of a thrashing... i recon.. if its out. do the LOT. save time and money and do it the first time

im rebuilding my ca right now mate... im getting the usual combo they do with theyre ca's so i know its going to be reliable.. mines gettin.

cp pistons
crower rods
clevite bearings
tomei headgasket
genuine gasket kit
arp bolts
bore and hone on block
shaved crank
and a reconditioned head.
maybe some other small things i cant think of right now..

they didnt worry about doing anything else to the block. is reliable enough they recon. and my motor was REALLY worn out.
hope that helps alittle.

all thats left now is cams, cam gears and bigger turbo. should make for a mean combo... just need to get myself a skyline diff now lol. still running stock locked ute diff
hopefully get my ute back next weekend.

hey fellas. i took my ute in to put the new exhaust manifold on and get the exhaust straitened to fit. when put on the dyno it wasnt pushing any more than 125hp. turns out i need a rebuild. to the point.... i was thinking of jamming some forgies and doing the complete rebuild(go all out). was wondering what are some of your opinions on the type of pistons and rods i should use and what are best value for money. or is it even worth it. should i just be happy with the rebuild .

thanks in advance

if you got enough holes in the firewall(not rust holes) you'd be amazed how many wires you can hide behind it. my advise. get an aftermarket computer... there goes half your wires already. and you can take most the sh*t off the plenum and above the fuel rail. looks alot tidier... can we see some pics?
