yeah well thats true mate... its not like a go out every night looking to race people. people are just attracted to a tricked out lookin datto and think they can take it. and obviously they dont stand a chance (most of us would agree)

"Did you see dome of the quotes, these 18 year old kids managed to get their mothers to put 10k into a car for street racing, these people really could do better with the 10k than ricing out acuras for lame street drags. "

im 18. have 3cars. all done up. plus my ca18det 1200 ute. iv easily spent over 10g on it. and not 1cent from my parents. i work hard. i play hard... i agree theres a time and a place for everything but its been happening for years. i dont see how they are going to stop it. they just make a HUGE deal about it now in the news and papers and make people more aware of it...
my old man told me when he used to work at the mines as a young fella. they used to go and and buy brand new ford gt's and monaros and write them off in a week and get another one street racing every week... people died all the time but it was never publisised like it is now.

my 2bobs

hey guys. is a coupe box a 56A? i blew up the gearbox in the yellow ute the other day(56A). so i went to a mate and he said he had a box i could use. he said it was out of a coupe. its got no markings on it. so i installed it. just about everything lined up good. but the clutch pedal was REAL tight. and the yoke had no back and forth play in it. it was pushed right up tight to the gearbox.

anyway. i used the the spring, fork and bearing out of the the blown box. it looked in better condition. but it didnt work at all. i could put it in gear and let the clutch out and it wouldnt move forward anywhere. so i pulled the box out today and looked at the spring and it seems alot smaller than the 56a box one? would this have anything to do with it? or should i just suck it up and get new bearing in the other gearbox?

any help would be appreciated. thanks.

i run 17's. and i did the same utheremate and cut a small section out. but i also run stanza struts with guards pumped slightly. check my profile for pics. its the blue ute. my yellow ute runs 16s with 120y struts- and with that little section cut out. only scrub when your backing out of a driveway. other than that theyre great.
