As the title describes, I need a rear vision mirror that'll fit my 79 ute.

I heard that a 120y mirror should fit also... So can anyone help me out?

Will pay all postage costs too. ACT 2615.

Cheers
Steve

I've got a round ported, heart/kidney shaped head.

So, would I be wasting my time running a 98octane fuel? As I'd still be able to make the same amount of power with a 92 or 96 octane?

I think I'll experiment with a 92 and a 98 octane fuel to see if I get a mileage difference.

So with a higher compression I can make more torque but I'll have to run a higher octane fuel to prevent pinging/detonation?

Thanks very much guys.

surely someone wants to answer this?

I've read that one of the advantages are the ability to run higher octane fuels... does this equate to more power?

Is this the only advantage? are there other benefits?

Hey everyone.

I just wanted to know what the main advantage of having a higher compression on your engine. I've got an A12 with a higher compresison head on it. The kidney shaped ones.

So,

I'm off to Bathurst this weekend to see the mighty Ford claim the mountain... (hopefully)

I'm thinking about taking the ute down, because I'll need somewhere to put the beer... suppose I better take a tent too.

Now, the ute has the standard a12, with standard radiator and 4 speed box. I've noticed that the revs are also quite high as well, (I reckon over 3.5k) so with the majority of the trip being 100-110kmph do you guys think that I will run into any overheating problems on my way up there?

It's got a recently replaced head gasket (thanks Tyrie ) fresh oil and fresh coolant as well. Only thing that's wrong with it at the moment is the valves are ticking a little bit (first time adjusting the clearences)

So whatdaya reckon guys?

You can check the float level of your carb through the little round window on the front of the carb, it should be pretty close to the center of the window while the car is idling

If there's any left over or you have someone pull out of this round, I'd really like one too.
