hey guys,

Since purchasing my datsun 1200 coupe, i have always been under the impression that it is a b210 coupe. Im not too sure why i think its cause i was always told thats what it was hahaha

SO now after a bit of resto work in the engine bay i for the first time had a look at the cars VIN number and saw the VIN prefix is actually B110??

Does this mean my coupe is actually a b110 coupe not b210??

Im confused...

Cheers

yeah nice setup. Im running a gt3076r with a custom modified .48 rear housing that GCG built for me. Forged bottom end, arp studs, cometic mls gasket, but as for head work, im running standard bar a port and polish and oversized vales. This is why i want the cams hehe, i have though about going completely nuts on the head, but im worried that i will push the powerband too far up the rev range and make the car too uncomfortable for the street, well for me anyway!!!

Anyway how do you want to do this? is bank deposit ok? if so shoot me a PM with you details plz and ill organize the payment. Thanks mate!

ah the procams, i was looking at a set of those but i have already had my head done with the standard springs at the time, and i want to atleast start the motor before i pull the head off again hahaha
im so indecisive at times.

Well ill take them then, send me some payment details and ill get it organised asap.

Also, how are the cams with that much lift, are they still fairly driveable on the street, or the profile too wild for cruising?

cheers

If you are planning on modding the ca much past upped boost and a front mount i wouldnt bother with the stumpy box, seriously its #### its just a cheap way of sorting out the gearbox, they have issues shifting at high rpm. Go for the proper ca18 silvia box its not that hard to fit mainly a little massaging with mr 4lb mallet around the front of the tunnel and you will need to cut the shifter hole about 100mm back towards the handbrake. If you can get a manual ca18 box in there there is no reason why a ca18 auto box wouldnt fit i have seen it done.
