Hey I put this thread on the off topic section because its not a datsun but some help would be much appreciated.
Ive found a Toyota Corona 1970 2 owner MINT low ks etc.. And Im wondering what its worth in NZ/AU Are they colectable? its the nice snout-nosed one (similia shaped front 2 the mk2 escort rs) Were they ever raced? I was thinking it would make for a nice 3sge conversion.
Cheers.
Quinn

I tend to do both, attend little club meetings and events and also have a little fun in the wet. I like to think the difference between me and those little wankers in old 3 series bmers which have been choped and rotered is that I NEVER do any high speed stuff ( in fact I rearly need to excede 30 -40kph), I do it late a night in places I know arent populated (ie business parks) and I dont cruze specifically to skid, its normally in my road car (ae86) after a late finish at work. I agree with people who hate boyracers who cause millions of $$ worth of damage each year with death traps for cars and no insurence but a LITTLE CONTROLED fun is ok. its just idiots who ruin it for every one else.

I used a 180b M/C with stanza/bluebird brakes and it worked sweet. you'll need the brass spliter as well.

If you are nice to the guy (or know some one) at your local car parts place they might swap the jets for you, I have done this twice before as it is no loss to them because they can still use your ones if their good. My advice is nail the guy for $100 if it looks good changing the linkage and cable isnt that big a deal either, I used a skyline cable and pissed aroung for about an hour untill i found the best set up and made a bracket for it to run through. It was a peace of piss.

first car i ever owned was a Fait 131R which I got for $1400 because it was running on 3 cylinders (still had wof and reg) and the first parts I brought was oil oil-filter plugs dizzy roter, points and fuel filter, towed it home serviced it and it ran like a dream, not bad for a 15 year old. Keeped that car of 1 1/2 years and sold it for $2500. I did everything (car related ) for the first time in that car, first skid, first ticket etc and even though this is a datto site im not ashamed to say the 131 will always remain special to me.
