Thanks for sharing Gary, That's sounds perfect! I've ground some of this part of the manifold away. I'll have to start again with another manifold and hope it clears the turbo manifold.

I've just done another run, this time at 14 Psi and intercooled. It made 94.5Kw and 160Nm. Not bad for a stock A12 long motor!

Great info DD, thanks for that. With boost pressure at the back of the valve it may even be a touch earlier. The power does seems to dive a bit too fast from 6300 rpm, this could explain it.

I didn't set any of the gauge warning limits, so the top left if RPM that is showing a warning at only 5000RPM. The bottom one is injector duty cycle that goes red at 90%.

Yeah, An intercooler would help heaps, especially when the boost is wound up a bit more.

Was keen to see what the results would be in its most basic form and with the least modifications.

I'd also love to see how far I can push this basic setup. Be good to hide some of it under the standard air cleaner assembly as well. I do have to balance this with working on customers cars and other projects.
See how I go for time.

Does anyone know where these engines usually valve float?

Results are finally in!!!

Sorry about the delay, It had a couple of gremlins that took a while to sort out.

I ended up using unleaded petrol, as I thought that's what most people would run in a road going car.

So...

Stock A12 long motor, original intake manifold with single injector, single turbo from a TTR32 skyline, microsquirt ecu.
12 Psi, non intercooled, 98 RON unleaded and 12 Psi boost( the most this turbo will handle if it had the ceramic turbine wheel).

133 Nm at 5400 RPM
80.7 Kw at 6100 RPM

Over 120Nm from 4500 to 6400 Rpm

Edit, I'll do another run tomorrow at 15 Psi. Then maybe switch to E85.

I used a diamond lapping plate. It's a bit dodgy using it on an assembled engine, but for this $56. eBay engine I'm not too fussed!

Mmmm, where do I start....Finally got it to run properly at about 1am this morning with the help from a few guys from on here! too late to run it for long.

Had an hour this morn before Leigh and I went to Ziggys for the BBQ lunch in Melb, so roughly tuned it to get a figure. The 800cc injector ran out of duty cycle, it made about 70-80Kw but didn't get a log of it.

We fitted the larger injector with about 10 mins before we had to leave. I was loading it up a bit to check mixtures at the top end. mixtures and injector duty cycle were much better but in our haste had forgotten to hook up the boost line to the waste gate... Result was about 27Psi boost and a lifted head/damaged gasket. No HP figures unfortunately.

Ive just replaced the gasket and unblocked a few water passages in the head and block. I'll tune it properly tomorrow and post the results at 12Psi and 15Psi.

Is it possible that you have the wheel cyls on the wrong side?? The bleed nipples should be at the top.
