I havent seen the car DatsAndy and either have you. The rear will only need the lip tapped up ( if that) but the front will need more than that.

If you feel like a drive to Kyneton (55 mins from Melb CBD) i`ll do what ever is needed to have them looking good and clearing everything. Im a Panel beater and have done heaps of guards.
But quality comes at a price!!
$50 a side.

I went down the road of very long primaries (1.5" x 28") baffle collectors then short secondaries (1.75" x 12") then a merge collector to a 2" diam. tailpipe.

Info for these dimensions is from "Four Stroke Perormance Tuning" by A Graham Bell.

These pipes perform like 4 into 1`s but with more midrange.

Cost only $280 in 316 stainless mandrel bends and tube. but about 30 hours of work!

A15, 271deg cam, hi comp, 500mm intake runners and injected.

Thanks for that, i checked on the ARP website and it only mentions main studs for L series.

The new rods came with bolts and ive used 7/16 ARP head studs so ok there.

Hi all,

Does anybody know if main bearing cap studs are available from ARP?

And also what are the best main bearings available?

Some ideas would be helpfull, some part numbers would be very helpful!

Thanks, Simon

Driveline losses probably shouldnt be quoted as a percentage, but rather a hp loss figure.

EG. A stock datsun 1200 ute 60hp At the flywheel less 25% drvetrain loss =15 hp Drivetrain loss

if you were to put a 300hp turboA15 in it the same gearbox and diff would be losing 75 hp if you were to use the same 25% drivetrain loss.

Yes maybe more friction and a higher loss but not 60hp more!
