Hi Gav, I have a ute shell/roller that has next to no rust. It has no rear tray floor and needs some work with the front lower tie rail and caster bar mounts. It has had two new 1/4 panels fitted new front guards and has a Mad Dat trans tunnel.

$600. without all the bits to put it back together or $1500 with all the bits minus seats(I don't have any)

Might not be what you are looking for, but is there if you want me to send pics etc.

Simon

I have a mate that does the VASS certificates. He uses my hoist for the inspections. I'm in Ballarat. Not sure if this helps.

A little more progress on the engine test frame.

I didn't even think about it when I used the A series auto bellhousing for the engine adaptor, but a friend reminded me that I can now bolt any engine to it that had the Jatco as an option. engines such as L series, RB's, Rotary's etc.
I just need to collect a few of bellhousings and make a more universal drive plate. Bit of an unintentional win, but ill take it!

The 2-4 liter figure was just a guess.

I just did a rough calculation and its probably only about 1.2 lts. (2 engine revolutions at 100%VE). My thoughts are that it would not effect fuelling or response in a negative way by moving the throttle plate back to the standard location.
Some decent testing would have to be done to prove this either way though.

The volume of air in the intake plumbing between the carburetor and the relocated Throttle plate.

Here is a fairly solid debate regarding BOV's. Its three pages worth, but enlightening.

It might not make too much difference if the throttle plate is further away(closer to the engine). Throttle response should actually improve. If its in original location, the standard cable could be used.

With the plate in the carb pre turbo, when the throttle is opened after trailing throttle, the engine could be lean until the metered mixture reaches the engine.
With the plate close to the engine, the banked up mixture is more likely to be richer on reopening. A bit like acceleration enrichment. Maybe this 2-4 Liters of mixture would more closely represent what the engine needs until the metered mixture arrives???
Either way, the metering device is still the same distance from the engine.

It's always good fun thinking about these sorts of things anyway.

That makes sense...When the car was on the dyno, I connected the air cleaner inlet to the standard tin cover on the A15 exhaust manifold. The vapourization problems disappeared. So it must aid that as well.
