i just ripped a tacho out of a sporty 120y coupe, i took photos on my phone of how it was hooked up, they aren't very clear, but if you want them pm me your mobile and i'll send them to you, its not very difficult.
should be hooking mine up soon, give me a yell and let me know how you went
cheers and good luck

mate c'mon
how many 1200's do you see floating around, compared to other models, compared to anything, they are just a kick arse little car, GO THE UTE, ahem sorry, rwd, reasonable stock power, and great for little people like me!

g'day all,
i have spent countless hours ringing around wreckers looking for parts for my 1200 ute and i have had no luck. I found a wrecker in wooroolin near kingaroy in queensland and got some 120y stuff for the ute but i am trying to find some more parts and it's very frustrating.
does anyone know if there are any wreckers in toowoomba that have datsuns???
thanks ty

hmmm... it doesn't grind when shifting just feels like neutral in every gear, i can move the gear lever in each gear almost six inches sideways, like when in neutral.
