Hi everyone, I'm just going through the process gathering data for a restoration on my little Datsun and would like to know exactly what colour is the window frames on a datsun 1200 coupe, I'm aware they are black however what finish is it? matte, gloss, or satin black.

Personally I don't think it was gloss black but certainly either matte black or satin black.

Thanks everyone :)

Its expensive but this one appears as if it will fit on your front mounting datsun, not only that it is also an electronic distributor which should give you trouble free motoring for years to come.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ELECTRONIC ... ories&hash=item2ec1064e99

Item location is Australia so win for you!

Please note I am not affiliated with this seller, I simply am in the same boat as you and have considered this distributor as an option.

Please keep us updated!

I hope the tail lights are better than the Thailand combination lights, the combination lights I bought a couple of years ago were terrible and never made it on my car, I just kept my old rusty ones and have since purchased original ones that are leagues ahead of the junk I previously bought.

It's good to know about the bumpers and the tail lights and bumpers are as rare as hens teeth these days for a coupe.

I don't mind the price, I care a lot about my Datsun so when it comes to this I'd rather spend and have it working top notch.

I was a little confused because the second ebay link states it will not work on a front distributor (early A12 engines) and given that mine is an early A12 model well...

So I take it I could just directly bolt this thing on no mods or bracket swaps etc.

yeah they both look pretty pricey but my little Datsun is running terribly, the distributor is on its last legs. :(

Hi guys, I've recently come across this distributor on ebay and I'm not too sure if it will fit my Datsun 1200 A12 engine (front distributor), I asked the seller but I thought I would ask here too... Will it be a direct bolt on would it need modification?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ELECTRONIC ... ories&hash=item2eb35e8a8c

or is it the same thing as this one

Thanks for the advice. :)

My wiper motor has died, i took it to an auto electrician to attempt to recondition/repair it but it seems it was not possible although they were more than happy to take a fair share of my money for services.

I've checked all the local (western sydney) wreckers , but nothing around. Are they similar to any other models?

If anyone has one available please let.... I really need it.

thanks.
