It was the Tuesday beofr Christmas and I took my 1200 out for a drive on an old 4x4 trail out by my parent's farm. I was about 3 miles away from the farm on this trail which wasn't really rough at all, so I decided it was time to head back. I was doing about 25-30 mph and decided to turn around so i started to turn around planning on doing a nice wide U-turn...didnt work out that way lol. I hit a slab of ice as i was starting to turn and the datto started to slide but it was flat land so i didnt freak I just started straightening it out when it hit a rut as it was sliding and rolled over on the driver's side.I had to crawl up out the passenger door and jump down. I wasnt hurt at all thank god but I could tell my car got roughed up a bit. I had my mom come out there to pull her back on her wheels with her 4x4 but she was afraid she'd hurt her car so we decided to see if we could rock it back down(just great for the side panels )But anyways we got it rolled over again. It had oil running down the fender, which was smashed in pretty good;the door is ruined, it wont open or close hardly and the window wont roll down;and the back fender had a dent in it but I managed to pop it out;and then the rear view mirror got crushed and the front tire was flat......so I changed the tire in the middle of the field and poured 2 qts. of oil in the engine and it started right back up and i drove it home. All in all it aint too horrible since I have a perfect original fender and door but I do need to find a new mirror. And what luck, right after new years my friend slid into my daily driver(a supercharged '93 Ford Thunderbird)and caused $1800 worth of damage but at least insurance will pay for that one

Sorry that is incorrect. What I need is a slave cylinder, not a master cylinder. Please help my find one as I really want to get my car back on the road as soon as possible. Thanks

I need to find either a clutch master cylinder rebuild kit or a complete, working master cylinder for(of course) a 1972 Datsun 1200 coupe.....i need one now, my car hates sitting and i hate not driving it, if you have one for sale or know where i can get one, please leave a note.

The reason the super coupe wasn't any fun to drive was mainly because of the automatic transmission and the fact that I think something is screwed up with the computer and it would bog out when you floored it which made it much slower then it should have been. My dad doesn't think there's anything wrong with it and says I have too much of a lead foot but oh well I'm happier with my Datsun and he likes the T-Bird so we both won. My the way I'm a girl and Ford's really are my favorite domestic brand but the T-bird just wasn't my type of car. The Datsun pickup isn't a king cab so I'm guessing it would be a 4-speed then? Thanks for the help though.

I dont know too much about the datsun pickups. What model would a 1978 be? I'd like to know what size motor they have and what they are worht. I found one in town for $500 but I haven't stopped to check it out yet.By the way I'm back to driving my 1200 again. Was driving a 1993 ford thunderbird SC but it wasn't the datsun. It wasn't any fun to drive and didn't have any character, so my dad took her off my hands. But any help with the pickup information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've got 2 original Datsun 1200 AM radios for sale cheap. One I know works since it was my music for about a month when I first got my car, the other one I've never checked. $5.00 each
I also have a set of gauges including the Speedometer and the gas/oil gauges and the "fasten seatbelts" light for the dash. They're all in great shape. $30 for the set.

My mom will probably kill me when she finds out what I want as my first tattoo! I don't know exactly what it will look like in the end but it will have some sort of script involving the word datsun and either a realistic or cartoonish example of my(or just any) Datsun 1200 coupe. If you have any cartoon style pics of 1200 coupes could you please post them for me on here? Thanks
