Methinks people are misunderstanding what has been asked here.

The question arose after there was some tribulations with certain members posting totally unrelated pics on this site. You know like the growth on your big toe, big red submarines or your b-inlaw in front of a pigeon coop or something...

So they offered to give members albums to place these kinds of pics, where everybody doesn't have to look at them when perusing recently posted pics.

I'd still like seeing pics of other people's progress on their cars, but would find it annoying to have to browse through everybody's albums to see what is new...

Still working on some suspension stuff, so engine is not in yet I'll pull it of tonight and measure it up for you ie. crank hole size, key depth and such.

The pulley is a double one, with the front pulley being a lot smaller than the rear one. The rear one drives the SC and the waterpump, and the front one drives the alternator and powersteering. The front one should be around the 120mm size, which adds up with your measurement of the N/A one.

Another question, are you going to get rid of that nasty belt driven fan and add an electric fan, 3kw right there you know...

What about annual membership dues of $10, where you cant post pics unless you are a paid up member?

That sounds reasonable to me, I'd be willing to do that, what do others think?

EDIT: ...and it stops bored kiddies from registering over holidays, or any time for that matter, and making peoples lives miserable. You're basically swatting 2 flies with one go...

Boost only accrues when the charge is slowed down and allowed to build up in the intake tract. The easier the flow can enter the cylinder, the less boost will there be.

It does in a sense. It indirecly translates to using the same SC at the same speed on a big or small engine, where it will boost higher on a smaller engine and lower on a bigger engine.

I've seen a guy go from a 60mm throttle body to a 75mm and back again, because he car became simply undrivable in town. The lag became big, and when boost eventually built up, it came on so strong hat the car kept going sideways. Even on the 4A-GZE engine such as the one I'm fitting, they decreased the port sizes at some stage, and the power went up...

Sorry for double posting this comment, but I just went and measured the pulleys on my 4AGZE, and this is what I found

Measurements:
Crankshaft = 145mm
Supercharger = 120mm
Waterpump = 110mm

Thus the SC would be way under driven with that pulley. Ok maybe with the smaller capacity engine you would see more boost.

Slight modifications with the round end of a hammer to make some extra pace in some spots. Only cutting that has to be done, is to move the gearlever hole back. I used a Toyota 21R gearbox with a custom cast bell. Don't know if the 21R monniker is know to you, but it's the gearbox that came with the old 2.1 and upwards Toyota Cressidas. Damn near impossible to destroy, and have seen duty in many very powerful conversions.

They do custom cast bells for this gearbox for Ford V6 essex, most Isuzu diesels, Most Nissans like CA18, SR20 and VG30 and many other makes of engine.

EDIT: having a look at the 4AGE conversion mentioned below, the supercharger is very close to the block on the 4AGZE, and doesn't stick out nearly as far as the TVIS intake manifold on that 4AGE. You should be able to fit it without relocating the SC. O and the intake manifold of the 4AGZE is also more compact than the TVIS one.

and lost patience with it

Ok, now take a deep breath....... Now, this might sound very technical or complicated, but bear with me. Go to the picture page again, once the pic has loaded, click on the picture once more. Once this new page has loaded, right click anywhere on the page, but not on the pic. A list of options will be displayed, one of them will be either 'View Page Source" if you're using Firefox, or "View Source" if you're using Internal Explosion.

Click on the one appropriate to you, and a page will be opened in Notepad/Word/some other editing software. There will be a long url within an IMG source tag like "http://datsun1200.com/modules/myalbum/photos/11091.jpg"
Copy this link and paste this into the img thingamajig like such, Open in new window

You will now see the image in your post, because you've got a direct link to the image in the database, and not the picture page...
