howdy, just a few questions on the sizes, as ive read through a heap of info but now a little confused.....

this is for my L20B turbo, club car and plan to run flares, all round, for wide track.

are the datsun 1500 (620) ute diffs, the same width as the Vannett A15 - 10 bolt centre- diff?

just wondering, coz if they are the same size, i could just search for the vannett diff, and not worry about getting the axles re-drilled to 4 stud?

any other info, on LSD centre's (what people hav used)... add in plz.

i'm using twin Su's on 2 into 1 adaptor, probably go for something with an accelerator pump in the future..... hopefully, 130rwkw, on a Lo-comp rebuild with a couple of good bits headwork, cam, ..... reliable as well.....

i am undergoing my L20 transplant into my 1200 coupe ATM, going really well!

It is Turbo, im running a custom exaust and intake plenium, with an external wastegate and twin su's, not sure what size turbo it is, i bought it as a kit, verry well made!!
this shall be my weekend thrasher/club car.

i just been playing with my A14 turbo setup, changin it from blow through to draw through.
just because it's simpler.
i'm using a 1 3/4 SU through a T25 turbo.
i fitted the carbon seal, and the turbo felt to be in very good nick (from what i could feel). put it togeather and apart from being smokey, (turbo very worn, once i pulled it down).

verry laggy to drive, was making boost around 4500, and totally different to drive then the recent blow through, can't hold boost into next gears, and not much fun.
ne idea's from you guy's??, what would cause this Lagyness??

when i ran my webber 32/36 blow through setup, i ran a EFI pump (saab), with a RR reg boosted from a T piece on the wastgate, set my base fuel pressure at about 4-5, and as boost increases, the returne line is resricted causing overall pressure to rise, hardest thing was setting my float level.
worked great, never ran lean, never used a surge tank.

i think my regraphed dizzy will get rid of the ping, it's an N12 elec dizzy.

if i go for lower compression, i'll have the chambers opend up

planning on running aroung 8-10 psi

the reason i ask is that i killed my last engine on 8psi, i 'm pretty sure it was pining coz of too much ignition advance., witch was at 40 degrees max advance, its now 25.
plus i read that A14 can handle 12psi with not much strain??

plus im not sure what the overall compression ratio is at 8psi, with std dish pistons and 20thou over bore.
guess i'd have to cc the cambers, ect....

if i was to de-compress what would be the best ratio for more boost= power??
