i think you will find that the vents are there to let the air out of the car when you close the door.
otherwise, the cabin would pressurize, making it hard to close the door properly.
every car has them, but newer cars put them in more discreet places.

yeah,it was good to run a nine.
just gave it a bit of a tune and it made a big difference.
stay tuned, more to come.just waiting for a good track and colder air.then bigger jets, more timing, more aggressive on the line and maybe something faster.

i will be at the tin tops on the 28th of april next,
and i will be stepping it up.

i use a toyota mr2 radiator with 2,10 inch electric fans.the radiator is an exact fit between the bottom of the inner guards.
they are a crossflow design and do come with quite good factory electric fans,i went with smaller davies craig units because of space problems.
they have no filler neck on them which means you can run a remote high filler point so you don't have airlock problems.
and they are simple to mount, two lower pins and two bolts off the top.
i'd take some pictures for you but there's a chev in the way.

thats a good power figure.
but dyno's don't mean a lot in the real world.
ther are plenty of "dyno queens" out there that make 800+hp and only run a 12 sec pass.

dynos measure horsepower not performance.

you should also take into consideration wheel diameter and tyre height.datsuns came out with 12 inch wheels.
and you can put up to 17's+ on them.which will change your final drive ratio.
