Ok. Ok. Thought id add my 2c. Yes injection is nice. VERY nice indeed. Cost me ALOT less than twin webbers. U analog boys are just scared of the big bad computers lol (thats Laughing Out Loud). Tuning is a breeze, and I can do it from the comfort of my house or on the road, all while the engine is running. No mechanical bits to use strippers on.....mmmm strippers.<<<<<<<and i'm still a man. Actually I lie, I gotta clean the butterflies from carbon deposits. Ditch the carbs and bolt up sum quad throtts.

Hey guys, Does anyone know where I can get a set of NEW oversize pistons for my A15?? I might have a 1mm oversize engine already. The pistons I have are 1mm oversize. I wouldnt mind getting a source for new 1.5mm oversize just in case.

Cheers -Liam

I got the megasquirt from www.DIYAUTOTUNE.com. They supply it in kit form or complete. I built mine. They provide great instructions on megamanual.com. The kit is made easily as long as the instructions are followed word for word. I also built my O2 sensor from www.techedge.com.au. It works great!! Gives me a lot of feedback for tuning. I filled up today and got 8.15L/100Km. all the credit to http://77e21.info/mstuning.htm, this guy has given me a way to tune the throttlebodies without compromise.

I am also looking at a similar transplant. I am moving from a A14 to A15. What sort of gains would I get from the displacement alone? I also belive that the A15 has less compression ratio because of the dished pistons. Should I get the head shaved to compensate?

yeh. and the A series is the perfect engine to learn on..... It has taken abuse for the last year, MEGA rich, MEGA lean. even one case where the timing was locked at 44deg under load above 3000rpm. PING PING PING. Very surprised that it didnt detonate.

I dunno what it does down the quarter mile. wouldnt mind findin out thou.

hahahahahha. You guys thought I was talking about dragstrip times, actually Im finally below 10L per 100Kms. After a year of trying to tune my quad throttlebodies with my ancient haltech F7, I can tune them using two fuelmaps. One for TPS and one for MAP sensor.

For those of you that don't know, the halech F7 has only a MAP sensor for fuelling. Quad Throttlebodies have only a small source of vacuum. So just over 15% throttle the computer sees wide open throttle, then delivers maximum fuel. This means even while cruising it runs as rich as giving it a beating. Good for track use, BAD for street

With the megasquirt. It can run two fuel maps so it is now drivable on the road. and Im back to 10L/100Km!!! With tuning I will get carb economy, with whoopass response and power!!!

Just done calculations 23.9MPG for you Americans. Thats with a mystery cam (lumpy), and portwork done, A14

Hey guys,
I need some major help setting up my A14 quad throttlebodies. I cant seem to tune them because my haltech reports 0kpa at 20% throttle. Can anyone help me out??? I have heard that one can put in a resivoir to store vacuum. However, when I do it just coughs and splutters, also is very laggy.
