finn is running standard internals too! just copper spray on the head gasket with 29 psi. i would imagine a t3 would be quite laggy as my t25 is on full boost at 3000rpm and makes peak power at 6000.. having said that i am considering going bigger.

like i said mate check with your licensing centre. a non turbo would be the way to go. they are cheap, dime a dozen, series 1,2,3 rx 7.... the series 2 is the best motor, has bigger ports. an extend port with a weber will put out 125 at the tyres. the diff will handle this. best way to go is buy a complete unlicensed rx7 ($500-1000). that way you have everything to get it running. if your interested a very streetable bridgeport will put out 180-200 at tyres with efi

check your registerability before you start, then if they say cool check with an engineer to see how he wants it done. i have done it before and am doing 12a extend port right now. bit easier to register and everyone is going turbos.

nothing really was wrong with the head. there was oil in the water but the water was clean. when i pulled it off there was no obvious place where it was leaking so i asked for a pressure test and face. if it was cracked, weld it up. it wasnt but there was a couple ofspots that needed welding, 4 or 5.... he ended up pressure test, straighten, face, 13 welds, valve guides and a helicoil in the no.1 plug hole. a far cry from i asked him to do!
