i put some honda crx seats in mine. They were 75 USD at the time, so they were cheap. Not hardly racing seats though.

well i guess i'll keep my eyes peeled for some SU's. If i can find them cheap enough I might pounce on it. Right now I have a problem with the rear end (which I think is a pinion bearing) and the tie rod on the passenger side. I've thought of buying a new rear end since I've heard that even installing a turbo to the stock motor can break the axles, not to mention a disc brake upgrade would be nice. The problem is, I have had little to no success finding a compatible rear end in the states. The stock diff that's in it now is a replacement from the original which had shredded spider gears. ugh

Speaking of exhaust, I just got new exhaust Friday. It's still "stock" but it has no cat. I'm not really looking to make it fast just because of the labor and cost. I was really just curious. My goal is to fix the pinion bearing (not myself), fix the tie rod, re-trim the windshield and back glass, finish the interior, finish the bodywork and paint that bastard! I'm finally "almost" there; I can taste it!

I have done nothing other than install the weber 32/36 and remove most or all of the emissions junk.

im kinda retarded when it comes to some of the technical details. Im more of a Do-it-yourselfer than a mechanic. So basically the the SU carbs are larger than the weber. What kind of HP difference are we talkin'?

Does anybody know the performance difference between a pair of SU carbs vs a Weber 32/36 on an a14? Just curious if it really is worth the cost.

We dont do emissions testing in Indiana so that part isn't a big deal. there have been a lot of great suggestions and I appreciate it. The rear end in this car definitely has to go, it's a replacement from the original that had shredded gears. This one also has whining issues, and it make the car pull to the right. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure i've read that the axles snap in these if you put a turbo on an a15. the 200sx diff seems like a viable option. I wouldnt putting a turbo on my existing engine, along with a new cam, but where do I find these parts?

Hey guys, I just wanted to get as many opinions as possible on something.

Question: If you were going to put a new engine, tranny, rear end etc. into a 1979 B310 (like mine) what engine, tranny, rear end would you choose. Keep in mind you're trying to be somewhat economical with the spending.

Thanks guys, i'd love any feedback!

anyone ever change a rear wheel bearing in a b310? i was going to try doing it myself rather than paying a guy in the states that doesnt know how to do it $65 an hour. The link below is a video of myself driving the car. I posted it so you could hear the noise. who knows, it may not even be a wheel bearing.

Hey guys. I was recently on ebay and i came across some windscreen weather stripping (front and back) for about $100usd for a b210. I was pretty sure this wouldnt fit my b310 but i started wondering if anyone on 1200.com knew where i could buy it. I have the chrome pieces but the rest is universal rubber and silicone. Needless to say it leaks. Any info would be great.

Thanks.
