I've been reading about an alfa gtv in issue 7 of leaded magazine . It is a track car competing in the targa and other races. The owner was writing about new work he had done to the head and some dyno tuning. They were able to get the engine to make power through to 7500rpm. They didn't push much further for fear of damaging the engine(I assume). It is fitted with 48mm twin webers (huge).
I have an L20b and I'm wondering what sort of head work I would have to do to get it to rev to 7500 or 8000. I don't think it's unreasonable but so far I haven't found a mechanic who can give me some clear direction. I currently have a pair of twin 40s and soon to fit extractors. I was going to have the head work done before the extractors are fitted.
I'm happy to buy a head that is already done or buy a spare to have it done . Cheers Simon

As I am the one who gave birth to this thread, I'm going to set a guideline that will from now on be set in stone. If anyone should disagree I will be forced to take away your glory (unless you are American, In which case you are all the center of the universe and don't know what glory is )
As Aussies we reserve the right to call utes utes, bonnets bonnets, and tyres tyres (not tires).
If we should stray into your part of the globe or vice versa I declare that we are all lovers of motorsport (and Datsuns) and should give our fellow brothers in motorsport some grace. We shall bite our lips and just enjoy the fact that we all love cars !!!

Okay guys I can't live with the stress anymore. How about someone post up as much info as they have i.e. grade of steel, plate thickness, overall size internal external radius, blah blah blah. If they are THAT popular, I'm happy to investigate manufacture here in Toowoomba
