if you want bang for reasonable buck and want rb26 id suggest rb32

"what the ???"
you may say but use a rb30 block "vl commodore" and rb26 heads and it creates a 3.2 litre hybrid
its the same size bottom end as a rb26 and it would be easier to find parts seperatly as commodores are (cough THE BEST cough) plentiful so that should be easy to source
just toss that one around
(p.s. im 16 and i know the pain of having the skills (mainly not me) and the time to do something like this but not the money. my solution buy a cheap paddock basher and vent the anger out on that.)

my cousin has this dvd of "ultimate mini's" the best one had been converted to rwd and had a 1200cc hyabusa motorbike engine that was turbo charged
mmmm 400rwhp in a turbo charged car that wasnt ment to be turbo'ed or rwd = lots of sideways action and plenty of fun hanleing the short wheelbase too.
there were also mini's with honda vtec engines in them with 220kw and they were cool too
all and all not how the mini was originally intended to have put up with but we could all say the same for our 1200's and other things that we may have in the shed

hi guys im just in need of a part number for what my grandfather calls rear bushes but im not sure what they are. the gearbox blew a rear seal in the last run of the year (talk about reliability!). so what i need is like a seal (or bush) for the outside of the rear part of the gearbox where the tailshaft mounts up

there is a thread a bit back that may help you dodgeman it has a link to the rta website that states that:
the tare weight x 2.5 gives maximum cc's for turbo'ed motors
and tare weight x 3 gives maximum cc's for n/a motors hope this helps and maybe do a search on the rta website?

nah the car is only a bit of fun to have a hack around in. so if you could se his lazer you wouldnt be worried about wide front track lol. he took to the guards with an angle grinder and choped about a good 30cm out of them in order to get more camber so it would point in and id say that he would prefer this car to point and then get a $#!t load of oversteer.
the next trouble is that if we were to get stanza struts its hard to get them in cenral west nsw so i think we will find a 180b aswell
pigdog what is involved in fitting the hilux calipers and verada disks to stanza struts
cheers and thanks for the info kurt.

ummm tnpshow when aden got the car the trans tunnel had been severly butchered so just recently aden and his mate kenny rebuilt the whole floor pan and tunnel to suit from scratch.
the car weights around 700 with driver and no fuel so car 630 ish
the only problem is that the way the dissy is set up it keeps on sliping and puts rotor buttons through the dissy cap and has even snapped a dissy shaft.
ill get some photos for all of you as he is soon looking at putting a fresh ca18 in it
the car goes hard and you can even check its results at the australian hillclimb championships via www.blcc.com.au and the link to the results is on the home page.
if you guys want more ill soon get it for you
cheers kurt
p.s. i almost forgot its soon haing the engin taken back around a foot to help with the weight balancing so ill let you know and i might even get some step by step photo's
