Chris, Harleys are not my thing but my cousin has bought these heads after damaging the stock harley heads and it has made his custom hardtail a beast. So far amazing acceleration throughout and much better economy. Before fitting them for him I got them heat proof coated along with jet coating his headers. The latter does make a difference but surely not this much.

Bike carbs are cheaper to setup these days and provide a lightweight and compact alternative.

2k is cheap compared to a ford transit engine in second hand condition. Try 6-8k for one.
If you want cheaper do it yourself and then youll see its still not cheap.

I dont think anyone would not be interested, it just that so far the performance potential is not worth it from what been stated on this thread, as there is a better modern design that he could have adopted which still could be opened up to become an old style hemi like chamber in the future if the rules cause issues in his racing class but I doubt it.
