Yes. Do you mean a 13B rotary engine, or a 1.3 piston engine? Either way it can be fitted. Both swaps have been done.
It would probably survive behind a 1.3 piston engine, but wouldn't you have to machine an adapter plate or possibly the transmission shaft to make this work?

it is Piston engine from 323. 1324cc 4cyl. can it b fitted n a 1220 GB by some plate? has anyone done it or atleast know the mazda engine?
and ddgonzal says that engine swap has been done too, can u give me rfernce?

i dont think 2 turbos r required on any 4 banger datsuns, otherwise nissan mintsu subaru and few other would've atleast made some car among many of their great smaller displacement 4 cyl engines with 2 turbos. and their cars r plenty pwerful for street or drag in their own class.
beside i dont think that stock oil pump will b sufficient of NA engine for 2 turbos.

hey Feral
i am also thinking this swap for my 4 dr B-310 but i dont want to cut my firewall, do u think a carby E15 will fit in b-310's bay without cutting in firewall as bay is larger?also will the E15 fit easily on 1980 B-310 GB?

a BMW 1200R willl certainly solve the problem of drive shaft, and engine doesnt have to b parallel to the differential. :)
beside u could also say it is boxer powered.

i cant say that this will b any good for reducing backpressure or not, but this intake and exhaust valve timing r optimised in all OEM turbo engines, main reason for this is to keep engine temp within control as intake charge cool the cylinder and exhaust valve, is also good for power increase in turbocharged engine, otherwise this is a norm in NA engine and can backfire in turbocharged engine if camshaft is for high performance spec of any NA engine, this is also the reason that any other cam profile custom made for NA engine is not recommended for turbocharged engines.

merc doesnt think that suprchargrs r that effecint anyway, as all their supercharged systems r disconnected in idle, highway and city driving, a clutch within supercharger connects as soon as accelerator is depressed. and dont forget their top range cars SLR aside r all turbocharged.

...... and two su's on it.

u dont need bigger carbs to successfully turbocharge an NA engine rejettting is unuf for any street engine, as increased air flow also riches A/F ratio. spending money on intercooler is wiser.

OIL COOLErS COULD B USEFUL IF u TURBOCHARGE A na ENGINE to produce about twice as much power, as its oil system is not built with turbo heat in mind. u can also check oil temp of fully warmed engine indepndently of coolant temp and c if its ok with the oil spec. again if r using synthetic oil u could get away without oil cooler imo.
