have a look at this site, it primarily deals with pinto's but has the calculations needed for choke and jet selection for other engines

Definatly use a Wade cam. They do a works 72 cam that is great for a hot street l series. Good strong power from 4000 through to 7000. This is probably the hottest cam you want on the street. Think the identification tag is M12.
Crow cams are best left for two stroke lawnmowers not l series

yeah is a sedan so it should be good.
i think i prefer the shifter back a little aswell.
i could even bend a little "dog leg" i the shifter if i wanted it a little further forward.

pics would be appreciated

mmm i don't really want to have to buy another gearbox cause i already have so many.
I am thinking it is going to be alright as a 1600 4 speed box is the same length as a stumpy, and a long tail 5 speed in a 1600 puts the shifter in an alright position.

hopefully it is the same in a 1200

Hey
just wondering if the shifter is too far back when a long tail l series 5 speed is installed in a 1200.
Will i need to make shifter linkages up to get it in a comfortable postition.

i have about 6 long tail 5 speeds spare from my 1600 but no stumpies (stanza/skyline), so i would like to be able to use one of them!

thanks hayden
