when i got mine from datsport i just pulled the old ones out and sent them to them, they cut down struts, replace shocks and weld on the sleeves, and i got camber tops too.
pretty happy except if you're looking at going real low they mightnt cut the struts enough, i made a point of stressing i wanted them cut down as much as possible and it's still about 25mm higher than what i wanted before bottoming out. stiffer shocks would help though
oh and mine are stanza stuts

yeah well i got a little bit of time to work it out, dont wanna lock anything in too solid either.
emailing a few different places at the moment, if i can get away with $2000 rental for 6-7 weeks (or even less, dont need a car the whole time) i'll be pretty stoked
bit iffy about the stickers, dont wanna be too upfront haha

to canby it is! thinking i'll cruise route 66 for a bit, i've got a good 7 weeks to kill so i'll see where i get taken, i foresee a lot of driving. which is why i'm thinking maybe of buying a cheap car so that rental costs dont kill me, nothing flash (i mean my weekend car is a datsun and my daily is a van, not exactly used to the high life haha) just moderately reliable and room to sleep so van or wagon. are cars like this cheap in the states?
driving course may blow my noodles budget out for a bit, but i really do wanna cut some laps, maybe i should buy a 1200 (or even a 1000!) wagon and rip it up :) for all those concerned, it will be kept in immaculate condition, i dont think i have it in me to buy a datsun, use her for 2 months and crush her little soul

hey all
so i know we got a lot of members from the states on here, i figure some of you may have some handy hints and advice. maybe even a few of us aussies have something to say also :)
so on the 2nd of june next year im gonna fly into san fran, spend a week or two over there and then i wanna drive across to NY. thinking of maybe buying a car over there (wagon or van so i can sleep in it haha) or renting i guess, and making the trek across to the big apple.
i've found a few basic run throughs of the best ways to do it etc, but for someone with pistons on the brain is there anything i should be looking at? i dont need to be back down under until the 22nd of july so i've got some time, figure i'll spend the full 7 odd weeks there.
also im currently at art school and love doing drawings of buildings, engines etc etc, anything detailed with lots of lines, almost why im going to NY really haha
cheers!
