now that figure becomes realistic if it hasn't been driven most of it's life. that ute looks to be in imaculate condition, congratulations. does anyone know when the odometers where changed from the 5 digit items?

i think mines a 71 model. was yours sitting in a barn for 20 years because 2350 a year sounds a little unrealistic.

Thats interesting that the medium 48s only suit heavier cars, they are, I believe, the new control tyre for Aussie Race Cars (wolki101 can confirm) which are far from heavy.

yeah we run ao48's on the aussie racing cars now and the cars only weigh 450kg.

i dont know about yours but my odometer only has 5 digits so when it hits 99,999 km's it resets back to zero. thats why so many old cars say they have under 100,000 km's whereas they most likely have over 300,000. mine has 95,000 odd km's off memory

isn't wheelbase the distance between the front and rear wheels? my utes got 205's on the back with no mods but i'm not sure about the widest that will fit.

yeh mate go 13's or 14's. whats the big deal about huge rims, they make your car look like a hotwheels model.

what engine did you put in it? my ute has a ca20 with torana diff, stanza struts etc and the weighbridge i went to only read to point 1 increments and it read out at 0.9 tonne with 16 inch simmons on it. it could weigh anything from 801 kg to 899 kg. i think a stock a12 motor without gearbox weighs 70kg.

i went to a street car track day at wakefield and a friend had a 1200 ute with a14, new suspension and a locker. he took me around the track and was sideways around every corner and i just loved the shape of the car and wanted one ever since.
