In order to get the sizes of ALL the jets, tubes, etc, you'll need to take the top cover off (It takes about 6 bolts to undo).
The idle jets are the brass screws in the side of the carby, just under the top cover on the outside.
Once the top cover is off, you can check fuel jets, air correction jets, Emulsion Tubes, Choke tubes, etc. There should be small numbers stamped on all of the jets and tubes. All of them except for the choke tubes should be brass.

It might also help you to download a schematic off the web.

another good idea is to download an image of one, from either this site or the Weber site itself and take it with you.

But As someone said, start by looking at 2L Escorts and Cortinas and you'll be fine. you will definitely need to have it rejetted though to suit your 1.2L

Hope this helps...

I've just resolved what the problem was guys.... the swith itself was the wrong one to use, the shaft was the wrong length. I replaced it with the correct switch and everything is cool. If you can't get the right one, perhaps using a spacer or something might help ?

If that were that then why is the fuel gauge also 'going north' ? Given that it only happened after the Head replacement, I'm inclined to think it is a bad earth. But as someone said earlier, gauges are funny things so Many Thanks for the input !!!

Last night when I turned on the headlights, I noticed that both the temp gauge and Fuel gauge in my 120Y rose up. I turned off the lights and they returned to normal.

For those Electronics experts out there, am I on the right track by assuming there is a short in the lighting harness or is it something else...

I'll take all the advice I can get guys. Thanks...

Is there any benefit to using a synthetic oil such as Mobil 1 over a mineral based oil ?

I've recently replaced the auto trans in my 120Y with a 5 speed manual (Dogleg pattern).

The reversing lights are on constantly and I can't figure out why.

Is there anyone out there who has encountered this before ?

There is a second plug in the side of the box with 2 spade ternimals but I've been told that's something to do with the anti pollution in 5th gear.

I'll take all the help I can on this guys. Thanks in Advance !

Any idea of rim and tyre combinations that will replace the factory wheels without using spacers, flaring the guards or anything else ?

I recall a number of years ago some guy installed a s/charged A14 into a Morris Minor. In fact, I think there is a photo of it somewhere in the photo Album.

Also, an article was done on it for Fast Fours and Rotaries but I'm not sure of the issue number.

Hope this may be some help
