Best option would be to run thinner tyres on the front and fat 205's on the back all with the same profile. Also consider spacers for slight rubbing on those Jelly beans.

The SSS struts would be fine and a nice brake upgrade. i would only worry about the strut travel if you want your datto to sit on the ground. heaps of datto's have Stanza struts and have used them for many years.
Plus the fact that you already have them and can save some money and upgrade at the same time.
you have some nice parts there, so if worse case senario sell all your rims and spare struts $$$ and go with some 14inch rims or even better 15inch rims. Now that you have disc brake front no prob's.

goodluck with your datto mod.

From all the 1200's ve seen the allround best colors would have to be light colors, like pastels. Dont get me wrong there are some nice dark and pearl Datto's for sure. But with a nice solid pastel you cant go wrong with any style like chrome bars/ black etc.
I'm going to suggest to have a look at some nice purples for your Datto Whorida. i think it would stand out and still look the part.

Good luck with your color choice and im looking foward to seeing the end result.

If its going to cool down a CA18 the VN 5ltr radiator is a special fits like a glove and does the job very well. All the hoses are on the right side. finish it off with a electronic fan and your kicking @ss.

Yea i have seen them welded up heaps of times before, and new vents fitted (facing the tray) up against the sides out of the way. I have even seen one of the leaf grills used as a vent in the cabin. Personally i am keeping the vents, but upgrading the covers with a new style that will be color coded to suit.

Next you will see 20yr old datto's in Asia. full standard Granny special rust bucket with gx bonnet or a locker thats it. lol

I have had a few close calls with datto's over the years, but not for standard ones, nice worked serious datto's are always a target.

Show me the money, for that you can install it too
Na, only joking that would be mad mattdatca18.
Im suprised we have not heard anything from any other Ute owners. they must all be running 12inch cheese cutters or a slapper in the tray.

I just got quoted $175 for a S13 space saver 14inch with tyre from a wrecker here in sydney. (Rip off)
Maybe if it was a sed/coop it would save me space, but on the Ute as long as it fits thats all i need it to do. Im going to have a look at a possible custom bracket.
