Thanks for the help guys. My meter was definitley set to 4 cylnder mode.

I wonder if anyone can answer the following question; If you change the timing does it effect dwell angle in any way?

(i really hope, and expect, the answer to be no)

My new datsun (stock 74 120y sedan) runs rough and rich and needs a tune up. I've replaced points, condenser, dizzy cap and rotor.

I'm have a few issues setting dwell and timing. Probably has something to do with me not having much of a clue what im doing.

When I set the points gap to spec (.4 - .5), the dwell seems below spec like about 30

Ok thanks. A succinct, if not brusque, response.

Just wondering if the 2dr and 4dr 120y sedan door trims are the same? Are the doors the same?

I have a 120y hitachi diff (rear assembly drum to drum) and matching manual tail shaft for sale. Its from a manual 74 120y sedan.

The diff is missing the brake line and all brake parts apart from drum and backing plate. It leaks and whirred when changing gears.

Tail shaft is in good condition.

offers?

This is my new 74 120y sedan. Bone stock and in amazing condition for it thirty two years. Got a full history and all warranty books. Getting its roadworthy this week (hopefully), then I'll be rolling. It'll my third datsun but the first one that's registered. It's the cream.

Thanks, I guess I should have read the wiki first. Do 165/70R12 tyres fit on the stock rims?
